I was saddened to hear of the closing of Aripo’s on Marion Street. And I’m sorry I didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye and enjoy one last arepa. Aripo’s offered a distinct culinary option. The Venezuelan food was delicious, with an abundant variety of fillings for the arepas, and some tasty appetizers, like fried yucca and plaintains. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, too, with fine decor. It was a pleasant gateway into a piece of Hispanic cuisine from South America. I will truly miss this one-of-a-kind restaurant.
