In the Dec. 17 issue of Wednesday Journal [Oak Park parks director sues former employee for slander], we reported that attorney David Porter used the term “revenge” in discussing likely motivations for a libel/slander lawsuit against his client, Greg Evans. Porter said he never used the word “revenge” but rather “retaliation.”

In the Dec. 10 issue, we reported in Inside Report [Being independent together] that River Forest village board candidates Mike Gibbs and James Winnikates, as well as village president candidate John Rigas were physically present at a house coffee during which their nominating petitions were passed out.

All three say they were, in fact, not at the coffee.

Wednesday Journal regrets the errors.
