About 1500 runners flew past the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio and through the main streets of Oak Park during Sunday morning’s Frank Lloyd Wright run.
This year was the 30th anniversary of the event, which was coordinated by the park district and sponsored by Wednesday Journal. Races included a youth mile, a 5k run/walk, a 10k run and a double, where runners got a break before running both the 5k and 10k.
Oak Park and River Forest residents were among the top finishers in each age group, and some also made the overall awards. The top five doubles finishers and the top three finishers in each age group received trophies.
