Mrs. Bruhns was my favorite teacher. I went to Mann School, 1980-86. [Retired D97 teacher remembered as free spirit, News, Oct. 29] I had Mrs. Bruhns in third grade and in sixth grade. She always went out of her way to make sure that her students understood all of the class assignments as well as homework. I had Hephzibah after school, but Mrs. Bruhns always let us come back to her classroom for assistance with our work, as well as just to hang out in her classroom.
She will be truly missed.
