The Committee for a Just Peace in Israel and Palestine held its ninth annual Walk for a Just Peace Sunday afternoon. On the 1-mile route through downtown Oak Park, 128 marchers carried signs calling for a Mideast solution.

The march followed a program at First United Church of Oak Park in which Lara Elborno, a Chicago-area Palestinian-American law student who participated in the Gaza Freedom March, and two other speakers addressed the assembled Christians, Muslims and Jews.
