Judge Michael Clancy was appointed to the Circuit Court by the Illinois Supreme Court last year and has been found qualified by the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Chicago Council of Lawyers, the Hispanic Lawyers Association and the Asian American Bar Association, as well as recommended by the Cook County Bar Association, and several special bars such as the Women’s Bar Association. The Democratic Party of Oak Park has also endorsed Michael Clancy.
In the election on March 20, you have the chance to affirm the wisdom of the Illinois Supreme Court in appointing Judge Clancy to the bench, as have these distinguished professional associations of lawyers.
Over the course of 20 years, Judge Clancy has been a prosecutor with the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office in a variety of cases and has practiced law in Oak Park as a defense attorney. This balanced experience as a trial lawyer has made him well qualified to adjudicate cases in a fair way with a sound and reasoned judgment.

We have known him all his life and have watched him develop into a very bright, human, and caring person who has had a humble passion for service.
