Good bedtime reading? Maybe… Available at Magic Tree Bookstore.
I know some houses have collections of Christmas or Hanukkah books. Our house has a collection of Halloween inspired children’s books. I have loads to choose from at Magic Tree Bookstore.
And frankly I just can’t get enough of Bramble lately. Here is their whole spread of Halloween decor. The hand towels are going fast I hear, and I believe because they are just perfect.
For those that need a little bit of “snark” in their holiday this may be just the thing to boost your spirits. LOVE IT. Also at Bramble.
I may not always be good, but I can sure spot a good find when there is one. This wood quote is over the top fun. The “Primitives by Kathy” sign available at Bramble is just 8.
This spooky spider was made right here in Illinois out of reclaimed metal. Leave it to Green Home Experts to find us merchandise that’s cute, produced locally, artsy fun and reduces waste. The pumpkins are made by those same folks.
The ushering in of Fall weather after this year’s hot hot summer just makes me feel like celebrating. Luckily for us our retailers have put out quite a spread of cheery, sometimes snarky Halloween merchandise to pull us fully into the holiday spirit.
I’m going to spend the next few days and weeks spending time in our different shopping areas highlighting some of the spooky wares found in and around Oak Park.
For today I visited Green Home Experts, Bramble, The Magic Tree Bookstore and The Irish Shop all located near the intersection of Oak Park Avenue and Lake Street.
Happy Halloween. Happy Shoptober.
Maybe I’ll see you at Gepetto’s Toy Box today- my next spot on the Halloween Hunt.
