Speaking of local theater groups, let’s not forget Open Door Repertory Company, which brings a dizzying array of acts to their cozy little theater at 902 S. Ridgeland Ave. This Friday, they’re offering “Roxy Bellows,” a one-woman show by Pat Musker, who has been described as “the love child of Don Rickles and Liza Minnelli.” How can you go wrong?

Actually, the Chicago-bred Musker family in general is highly creative and very funny. Pat’s brother, Marty, formerly worked at Wednesday Journal (so he has to have a sense of humor), and brother John is a Disney animation director, whose credits include Little Mermaid, Alladin, and Hercules.

Pat Musker is also a member of Open Door’s regular improv troupe, The League of Improv Heroes.

The show begins at 8 p.m. on Oct. 10. One night only. General admission is $18, seniors and students, $15.
