Jennifer GoodSmith, an Oak Parker who works in communications at Morton Arboretum, recently shared some good news that had a local connection. In December, the Arboretum celebrated its one-millionth visitor for 2015, the first time they have hit that milestone in their 93-year history. And, of course, the honor fell to an Oak Park family.
“David and Laura Donoghue and their three children (Charlie, 9; Ruth, 8; and Clark, 5) attended our Santa breakfast but happened also to be our millionth visitors so they celebrated with our staff after visiting with Santa.”
Not sure which of the Donoghues actually hit the million mark, but here’s a photo of the happy occasion.
