William Sullivan

William J. Sullivan, 76, of Chicago, died on July 8, 2016. Born on May 8, 1940, he was a lifelong learner, an avid reader, loved jazz, and a diehard Sox fan. He was a strong supporter of Mercy Home in Chicago. 

William Sullivan is survived by his nieces and nephews, Mary Ellen (Matthew) Casselman, Thomas (Michele) Sullivan, Edward (Rikki) Sullivan, and Michelle (Edward) Bowbin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Thomas (Jenna), Erin and Sean Casselman, Richard, Shannon, Connor Sullivan, and Brock Bowbin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra E; his stepsons, Kevin and Michael McNeal; his parents, John J. Sr. and Helen (nee McMahon); his brothers, John Jr. (the late Francis) and Thomas (the late Sharon) Sullivan; and his nephew, John Sullivan III. 

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass, 10 a.m., at St. Giles Church, 1045 Columbian Ave. in Oak Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, 60607 are appreciated by the family.
