On Dec. 17, the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest was evicted from the First United Church in the middle of its concert season [Church swings downbeat on Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest, News, Jan. 29]. An emergency board of directors’ meeting was called, in which we learned that the church, our home for the last eight years, had “severed” our relationship, effective immediately. We were stunned.
