The recent village board decision regarding the proposed Lake and Forest project produced a sadly predictable uproar from a handful of very loud opponents to the project. If nothing else, it reminded me how lucky Oak Park is to have a professional and dedicated group of people serving on the board. While everybody has the right to disagree, aren’t we as Oak Parkers above distorting facts, name-calling and wild, baseless accusations?
